Sueño Águila is Club América's open tryout in Los Angeles to find the best young undiscovered soccer star. This program gives male and female players the opportunity to join Club América's elite academy. The top 16 males will get to travel to Coapa for the final phase of the tryout and an unforgettable experience and earn the chance to become part of Club América's youth academy.

Tryouts will consist of 2 phases over the span of one weekend.

• Phase 1: Saturday
  • Tryouts every hour throughout the day
  • 44 players will be competing per hour in an 11 vs. 11 format
  • After the one (1) hour tryout, players are released for the day
  • Upon culmination of the last tryout of the day, Sueño Águila staff will contact the 34 male players that will be selected to move onto phase 2 of the tryout to be held the following day.
  • All eliminated players will be notified by 9:00 p.m. via e-mail.
• Phase 2: Sunday
  • Only the 34 players selected on Saturday will be able to partake in this 4-hour tryout.
  • 16 players will be selected to travel to Club America's youth academy for the next phase of the tryout.
• Phase 3: Sueño Águila Final
  • The 16 finalists will compete for a chance to become part of Club América's U-17 team.
  • The 16 finalists must be available to attend all practices scheduled during the month of October.
  • The winner will be selected by Club América's scouts.

You will receive a Registration Confirmation e-mail that will list:

• Confirmation code
• Specific tryout position
• Exact date and hour of tryout
  For example: Code:182, Juan Gonzalez, Saturday September 3, 2022, Defender, 12:00 p.m. – 1:00 p.m.

You must arrive at least one hour and a half before your scheduled tryout. Your scheduled time is listed on your confirmation page that will be emailed to you once you have registered

Yes, but you will not be guaranteed a tryout spot. You will be placed on the waitlist. If any spots open, those will be filled on a first-come, first-serve basis

Each tryout will be one hour long

• No, it is your responsibility to pay for all costs related to your travel during the tryouts
• All travel expenses for the 16 players traveling to Mexico City will be covered by Sueño Águila

If you have been selected, a Sueño Águila staff member will call you at the phone number listed on your registration form at the end of your tryout day on Saturday, between 6:00 p.m. and 10:00 p.m. It is crucial to make sure that your phone number on the registration form is correct.
